This love never ends

The musical has enjoyed worldwide success since its premiere by Vereinigte Bühnen Wien in 1997 at Vienna's Raimund Theater. Scary, funny and soulful

When the curtains fall at the Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg and a dark vampire castle is revealed, the stage is set for TANZ DER VAMPIRE – Das Musical. A performance with grandiose costumes, strange characters and a unique story that is guaranteed to overwhelm! Dance of the Vampires tells the captivating story of the oddball Professor Abronsius, who sets off on a journey to Transylvania in search of vampires. He is accompanied on his journey by his young assistant Alfred, who falls in love with the innkeeper's daughter Sarah - but the sinister Count von Krolock also wants to possess the beautiful Sarah and lures her to his castle.

Creepy scenes and impressive sounds

In Dance of the Vampires, the successful author Michael Kunze humorously tells the story of Professor Abronsius and has grandly staged his journey. Immerse yourself in the imposing vampire house or the sinister graveyard, the stage production underscores the eerily beautiful story in a unique way. Fittingly, world-famous rock composer Jim Steinman complements the stage settings with rocking, soulful ballads. This combination is guaranteed to send a comforting shiver down your spine!

Travel options

For the perfect arrival

The Stage Operettenhaus is located in the heart of St. Pauli directly on the Reeperbahn in the immediate vicinity of the "Dancing Towers". A moving history is hidden behind this name. Opened in 1841 as "Circus Gymnasticus", it was renamed "Central-Halle" about 25 years later and "Operettenhaus Hamburg" in 1920. Neither destruction during the war nor other ups and downs could prevent the house from retaining its firm place in the cultural scene. Let yourself be inspired by this modern and at the same time traditional house. It has a modern foyer over 2 levels, whose large window front offers an exciting view of the famous Reeperbahn.
