The Hamburger Sprechwerk is a stage for independent theater, premieres and experiments in the independent performing arts. With its 160 square meter stage, it is the largest off-theater in Hamburg.
Located in a backyard, the former warehouse offers space for 150 spectators in a room with “industrial charm”.
The program consists of guest performances ranging from drama to dance theater, performance, children's theater, musicals, cabaret, magic and improvisational theater.
It is supplemented by in-house drama productions, which are produced under the label "Wortgefechte".
