On September 22nd, 2024 we will celebrate "Rail Day" in the depot! A colorful program ensures variety and joy for young and old.

From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22nd, the depot in Uelzen in Dannenberger Bahnbogen 1 will be open doors and a warm welcome! Not only will metronom, erixx Niedersachsen, erixx Holstein, enno, OHE and SINON be presenting themselves here - there will also be a varied children's program and a food selection that will delight rail fans of all ages. Our insider tip: the non-alcoholic train cocktails! If you get the hang of it, you can win attractive prizes on the wheel of fortune. There will also be a lot on offer on and off the track: the various trains, SinON construction vehicles, a craft station and of course exciting tours of the erixx and metronom workshops will surely make people's eyes pop. At the washing track, you can find out how a train is washed and even try it out for yourself. You can also take a relaxed look at the finer details of the different trains and make an announcement yourself!

metronom: On the road for you since 2003 with the well-known yellow and blue double-decker carriages. Traveling 390 km - from Göttingen via Uelzen to Lüneburg and Hamburg and from Hamburg to Bremen.

erixx Lower Saxony: On the move for you between Hanover and Bad Harzburg and Braunschweig as well as Braunschweig and Uelzen and Lüneburg and Dannenberg.

erixx Holstein: On the move for you in the battery network East in Schleswig-Holstein, between Lüneburg, Lübeck and Kiel.

enno: On the move for you between Hanover, Wolfsburg and Hildesheim on a 145 km long route and part of the metronom Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH.

OHE: Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen AG (OHE) has been a component and partner in the areas of local rail passenger transport (SPNV) and bus transport (ÖPNV) for over 75 years. Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen AG also offers strong expertise in the area of workshops for rail vehicles and, with its decades of experience, is a real specialist in Lower Saxony.

SinON: Schieneninfrastruktur Ost-Niedersachsen GmbH (SinON) operates the former railway infrastructure of Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen AG in order to shift more freight traffic from road to rail in eastern Lower Saxony and thus become part of the transport transition in the region.

Rail Day is an action day that is celebrated every year in September as part of European Mobility Week. On the three action days from Friday to Sunday, numerous events relating to rail as a means of transport take place throughout Germany. Together we would like to celebrate this fascinating mode of transport on Sunday, September 22, 2024!
