Katharina Ismer was born in Diepholz in 1973. In 2004 she was a master student at the University of the Arts, Berlin.
Her works have been shown in numerous exhibitions to an international audience, including in Australia, Germany, France, Great Britain, Israel and Palestine.
She herself says about her painting:
"My painting is characterized by the longing for the unforgettable moment. My pictures are memories, landscapes of the soul, visualized moments experienced that always amaze us, or tell of the endless vastness of the country. They are moments that help us understand the world around us a little, but also always raise questions."
There will be a few introductory words at the opening on Sunday, September 8, 2024 , at 11:30 a.m. Ute Brennwald, Galerie Brennwald, in conversation with the artist herself.
