Lesung „Unter dem Radar – Vom Leben und Helfen im Abseits“
- Readings
In her book "Under the Radar - About Life and Helping on the Sidelines", Susanne Groth examines life on the streets and the help available. What exactly does homelessness mean? What does it mean to live on the streets? What aid organizations exist and what do professional and voluntary helpers do every day to help homeless people lead a more dignified existence?
This book uses touching interviews and impressive portrait photos to provide an insight into the issue of need and homelessness in Hamburg. It tells how quickly anyone can fall into this downward spiral, but also shows how much life, strength and creativity both those affected and those helping them face their everyday lives.
The reading will take place in the Elbglück Studio on Elbhochweg in Wedel. Studio Elbglück is a creative space for family photography, a variety of workshops and cultural events such as readings and exhibitions.
