For World Alzheimer's Day 2024, the social welfare office, the state initiative Living with Dementia in Hamburg and the Konfetti im Kopf association have joined forces to send a clear message. Dementia is not just grey, dementia is also colourful and life with dementia is worth living!

Many actors, institutions and people who live and work with people with dementia show the diversity together with those affected in a colorful procession of people that moves through the center of Hamburg and gives courage. Let yourself be infected by the joy of life and courage to live - come with us to the confetti parade that opens this year's Dementia Action Days!

From 10 a.m.: Meeting point for everyone at the Gänsemarkt

11.00 a.m.: Start of the parade with many surprises, rhythm accompaniment by Fogo do Samba and lots of color along Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstraße

approx. 12:30 p.m.: Rally on Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz with music from the Eppendorfer Schlagsaiten, speeches by the Social Senator Melanie Schlotzhauer and the Managing Director of the Alzheimer Society Hamburg, Jörn Wieking, as well as the Board of Konfetti im Kopf eV, Michael Hagedorn
