Speaker: Helge Masch - Wandsbek Special Botanical Garden
There has been a blooming oasis right on the Wandse for 96 years. Founded in 1926 by the Wandsbek teachers' association as a school garden, the Wandsbek Special Botanical Garden is now a place where you can view native and exotic plants. The greenhouse and the 1.5 hectare open area as well as the around 10 hectares of Wandse green belt are visited on this two-hour tour. The head of the special garden, Helge Masch, who has worked here for 39 years, will talk about the history, the present and the future and answer your questions.
The focus is on the concept, exciting plants but also the connection between flora and fauna in times of climate change.
