The Tidenkieker starts from the Krautsand jetty under the motto "Waterkant", the Low German word for water edge, at low tide downstream from the Elbe towards Wischhafen. Past the Brammer sandbank and the internationally important "Allwörener Außendeich" nature reserve, it heads back to the Krautsand jetty along the Rhinplate nature reserve with a view of the Schleswig-Holstein town of Glückstadt.
