Eröffnungskonzert des PHOENiX festival

The Hamburg University of Music and Theater is hosting the opening concert in the JazzHall.
Students, alumni and guests perform classical music by ostracized female composers, chansons by Friedrich Hollaender as well as songs and jazz standards by Kurt Weill.
With a keynote speech by Natalie Reinsch (historian and head of the Nazi injustice project “Degenerate Music”).
Following the concert, the student jazz quintet “Cansu Arat Group” will play a live set and we will open the dance floor for Lindy Hop, Blues and Balboa.
