Dat Bahn-Chaos - Duvenstedt
- Theatre
A crazy railway comedy , performed by the Duvenstedt Amateur Theatre
If someone goes on a trip, they have something to tell. Matthias Claudius was already able to do that in his famous poem in 1774. Today, in the 21st century, people get on a plane or travel by train. And that's exactly what our Low German play "Dat Bahn-Chaos - Reisende schall man uphollen" by Winnie Abel is about. Low German by Heino Buerhoop. And as in autumn 2023, Jan Fikota and Willi Kühl will be directing.
Have you ever sprinted through the station with a heavy load because the platform was suddenly changed? Or got lost on a train with the wrong carriage sequence? And have you ever stood for hours on the open track with an engine failure - in the middle of summer, with the air conditioning broken? "Sure! That's typical of the train!" you say? Great! Because then you are well prepared for this brilliant train adventure: The ICE 6948 to Hamburg will have to make an unscheduled stop and leave you and the other passengers at a desolate provincial station. With no cell phone reception, no taxis, no prospect of continuing your journey. Instead, you find out that there may be a psychopath among the passengers - and an incredibly funny nervous chaos ensues. And you, dear audience, are sitting right in the middle of it all. Your fellow travelers on this exciting rail odyssey are: an illustrious bowling club, a harried businesswoman, an idiosyncratic conspiracy theorist, a wacky motivational trainer and a few other strange characters. Does that sound promising? Then get a ticket and be there when they say: “Senk ju vor träwelling wis Deutsche Bahn!”
Starring: Andrea Apitzsch, Bärbel Nachtwey, Petra Schwarz, Karen Neuhaus, Bärbel Neuhausen, Jan Fikota, Willi Kühl, Thorsten Hahn and extras as fellow travelers.
