Community Project: »Future X – When Is Tomorrow?«

The community project »Future X – When Is Tomorrow?« brings young people together aged 16 and over who dream of putting on a fantastic stage performance in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall. The music, choreography and texts for the project are developed in four different workshops. The »WORDS« workshop is where the texts for the performance will be born. A number of texts and short scenes will be concepted, which are then either developed by the other groups through music or movement or incorporated directly into the performance.
As well as trying out various creative writing techniques and scene-setting exercises, those taking part will carry out research together, go outside and integrate their personal experiences into the texts. They should have a basic knowledge of German – but of course other languages can also become part of the project and the performance! The workshop is led by the playwright and director Marlene Schleicher.

There are ten workshop dates in total, always on Tuesdays, 18:00–21:00, in the Elbphilharmonie Kaistudios: 15 & 29 October 2024, 12 November 2024, 3 & 10 December 2024, 7 & 21 January 2025, 4 & 18 February 2025, 4 March 2025
