book nooks explore the impact of books on public spaces by comparing two contrasting book-centered locations: the large-scale cultural hub “Forum Groningen” and the small, community-driven “Brug 171”. The exhibition aims to investigate the different roles libraries play in Germany and the Netherlands and includes an interactive public bookshelf at the gallery in St. Pauli to recreate Brug 171's community spirit. Visitors and locals are encouraged to engage with the space, highlighting how books can transform urban spaces into vibrant community centers.
