STAMP | 24 Goals – 24 Creative performances in public spaces
  • Stage Art & Theatre

Goals harbour a secret, open up new paths and perspectives, allow a look behind the scenes and invite people to come together. A gate is a meeting place, a gathering place, a place to celebrate and rejoice. We take up this ambiguity and realise it in a diverse mixture of gate designs and stagings.

The goals can be of the most diverse types: Football goals, entrance gates, yard gates, garage doors - all of these are individually designed and staged by different artists. All of this is done with a focus on inclusion and participation: places and residents from the neighbourhood, artists from Hamburg and participants in the tours are integrated into this site-specific staging in the district in a special way.

To experience the goals, two district tours with headphones will be conducted to six goals each on 8 and 9 June 2024. The "walking tours" will show a new view of the district and involve the participants in a playful way. The 24 gates will be curated by the artist duo from JAJAJA: Arvild Baud and Iris Minich.

Accompanied by a team of 24 fans, JAJAJA will visit 24 gates in four tours during the STAMP festival (mainly curated from the work of local artists) and thus present the ambiguity of the term: gates are transitions, openings, destinations. The forms of expression range from lecture, performance, music, meditation, image and art.

After a "fan training", the audience, who are ready to face a performance experiment, will begin the "goal tour" in trend-setting transnational jerseys: In three hours, six goals will then be visited for around 15 minutes each. As the "fans" interact with the goals in their dual role, the exact times for each goal will be communicated via QR codes so that the performances can be experienced by as many additional spectators as possible without them having to accompany the entire tour. The goals do not build on each other in terms of content. It is therefore also possible to attend individual performances.

PLEASE NOTE: The exact start times have not yet been finalised - please check in advance at www.stamp-festival.de!
