With great anticipation, Pashmin Art Gallery presents the exhibition "MYTHS AND GLITTER - STORIES IN COLORS, GLASS, AND METAL," which brings together fascinating artworks by two renowned artists, painter Petra Heitkötter and musical star and painter Ethan Freeman. A 25-year friendship connects the two.

Petra Heitkötter, a respected painter from Bremen, has presented her works in over 40 solo exhibitions across Europe, found in both private and public collections.

Ethan Freeman, an outstanding musical performer with a shining career in productions such as "The Phantom of the Opera," "Cats," "Jekyll & Hyde," and "Disney's Aladdin," now debuts as a painter alongside Petra Heitkötter at Pashmin Art Gallery.

Although both artists work in different ways, they share the common goal of enchanting the viewer into a world of enchanted narratives, aiming to surprise and entertain.

The exhibition is curated by Natalja Nouri and moderated by Jasmin Eikmeier. Internationally renowned curator Dr. Davood Khazaie will provide insights into the creative processes of Freeman and Heitkötter.

Petra Heitkötter, the Bremen-based artist, works with a variety of materials to create contrasts and assemble new ensembles. This results in intense colors like dramatic red, velvety black, and glittering white, transformed into splendid objects by gold, copper, brass, aluminum, and glass. This is her unique signature.

The interaction of light and material gives her works a unique dynamic, present in both her smallest works and large-scale paintings. Each of her paintings is a testament to experience, exploration, versatility, and depth.

Ethan Freeman has his studio in Hamburg and has been engaged in painting for many years. Now, for the first time, he is making his work accessible to a wider audience.

His painting, much like his stage work, is about telling a story, now with color and canvas. While on stage, negative emotions like hatred and violence are often the theme, his painting reflects the positive, striving for beauty and joy. He uses vibrant colors and textures to convey sensual delight. Each painting becomes a narrative. The aim of his pictures is to express beauty, joy, ecstasy, and occasionally humor.

Be part of our vernissage event on May 18th at 7 p.m., where the artists will be personally present.

Ethan Freeman will be accompanied by James Mironchik, who will give a small taste of his musical repertoire.
