Internationaler Museumstag: Bismarck in der Erinnerungskultur der Deutschen
- Guided Tour
The first Reich Chancellor was glorified in the memories of many Germans during his lifetime. During this public tour of the Bismarck Museum Friedrichsruh, the Bismarck cult is demonstrated using the example of selected gifts and personal items. On display are, among other things, the painting “The Proclamation of the German Empire (January 18, 1871)” by Anton von Werner and portraits of Bismarck by Franz von Lenbach, as well as Meissen porcelain, a Chinese ivory sculpture and a chess set from India. You can also take a look at the study, which has been recreated with original furniture.
