With more than 450 operational organs worldwide, this traditional Hamburg company can look back on a history of over 70 years. The valuable masterpieces are manufactured in the Tonndorf workshops on an area of over 2,000 square metres.

Master organ builder Rudolf von Beckerath founded his organ building company of the same name in 1949. The organs in the Laeiszhalle and in St Elisabeth Church were among the first pieces to be created by this traditional Hamburg company. This was followed by many international requests, e.g. from the United States, Canada, Russia, Australia, Japan, India, and the African continent. Since 1996 the company has been manufacturing its organs in the Tonndorf workshop. Thanks to the company’s own in-house pipe workshop, the organs built here benefit from a high production depth, and their special “Nordic” timbre ensures great popularity and esteem among experts.
