"Hinterm Horn" Lake (Sandstrand)
The "See Hinterm Horn" lies in the east of Hamburg near to Allermöhe and was once created from gravel excavation. It has a beautiful sandy beach, a lawn area for sunbathing approx. 20 metres wide and particularly clear water. It owes this to the fact that it is fed by groundwater. The bathing area in the lake is marked by several buoys.

It has a beautiful sandy beach, a lawn area for sunbathing approx. 20 metres wide and particularly clear water. It owes this to the fact that it is fed by groundwater. The bathing area in the lake is marked by several buoys. The lake stands out for its particularly nice location. It does not, however, have a swimming pool attendant, which means that parents should generally look out for their children themselves. The space available at the lake means that families nevertheless have many options available to define their own sporting activities. Travel to the lake should be by public transport or by bike as no parking spaces are available.
