Golfclub Am Hockenberg is relatively hilly surrounded - the best conditions for a varied game of golf.
This golf course, which is not far from Hamburg, offers challenges to golfers of all abilities – even beginners are welcome.
The Golfclub am Hockenberg is 25 minutes' drive to the south of Hamburg and is situated in the best cultural neighbourhood next to the Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg and the Bossard Kunststätte. The countryside is characterised by valleys, reeds and a wooded landscape. By North German standards these are relatively hilly surroundings, which offer the best conditions for a varied game of golf. Visitors can use the 18-hole course that covers 6061 metres (open to golfers with a DGV or comparable licence) as well as a short course (open to all).
As well as the golf courses there is a driving range with 20 tee mats and grass tees, two putting greens, pitching and chipping greens as well as a practice bunker. At the weekend guests are welcome before 10.00 a.m. and after 15.00 a.m. or with a club member. Golf etiquette must always be observed. Golf school packages, hire of trolleys, sets of clubs (booking necessary) and electric golf carts is available. As well as arrangements with the hotels Hotel Lindner and Ringhotel Sellhorn, the golf club is part of the Heide Golf Card Programme.
