Breitenburg Hotel and golf club Schloss Breitenburg

Elegant SPA hotel in a picturesque location.

Idyllically situated, exclusive hotel built in the ensemble monument of a count's estate. The luxurious spa with infinity pool, sauna landscape and marvellous view of the Breitenburg Canal and the woods was awarded a prize by GEO.

The hotel

The Hotel Breitenburg is a place of power to slow down in the midst of unspoilt nature, just half an hour's drive from the gates of Hamburg. The quiet rooms are all equipped with comfortable box-spring beds and Trabertin bathrooms with rain showers. The rooms are flooded with light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. A small coffee machine in the room invites you to enjoy a coffee before breakfast and let your gaze wander over the landscape outside the windows.

Golf-club Schloss Breitenburg

The beautiful 27-hole course at Golf-Club Schloss Breitenburg right next to Hotel Breitenburg leads its guests through Schleswig-Holstein's marshes, geest and hills, including avenues, bends and moors. The course offers challenges for golfers of all levels, such as island greens and bunkers. It is the perfect place to spend a few sporting hours during your holiday at Hotel Breitenburg and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The SPA

The spacious spa area forms the centrepiece of the hotel. Even from the pool you can enjoy a sensational view of the small river meandering along the trees, while an open fire crackles at the edge of the pool. Refreshments and snacks are available at the vitality bar, while the sauna area features a steam bath, a bio sauna, a Finnish sauna and a hammam. Another highlight is the large relaxation room with cosy corners and panoramic views of nature and the golf course. In the treatment area, guests are pampered with beauty and body treatments, Ayurvedic treatments and massages in a total of 12 cabins.

Yoga

Yoga classes with a trainer are offered weekly and a virtual trainer can be booked daily via a yoga mirror. Yoga retreats lasting several days are also offered regularly, focussing on different topics, often in combination with Ayurveda.

The restaurant

Guests visit the Restaurant Johann for a varied, regional and delicious breakfast buffet. The evening front cooking event with buffet is just as inviting. Eyes and palates are spoilt at the front cooking station. Every evening, the chef prepares a different dish in front of the guests. For example, how about a fresh, truffled white wine risotto with sautéed gherkins and sun-dried tomatoes with saffron espuma, served with saltimbocca of Ostermühl veal?

Banquet

Three conference rooms with modern equipment and a magnificent hall with a ceiling height of 10 metres offer space for seminars, workshops and celebrations of all kinds. All rooms open out onto a spacious gallery, which can be used for short breaks with tea, coffee and cake.
