BIMM Institute Hamburg Europe’s largest music college – now in the heart of St Pauli
From songwriting and music production to guitar and music business: the BA programmes of the British BIMM Institute provide students with an academic degree validated by the University of Sussex – and an education with direct access to Hamburg’s creative and music communities.
Situated in the very heart of Hamburg’s music scene, between the Reeperbahn and the Schanzenviertel, the BIMM Institute Hamburg has moved into the former WW2 bunker at Feldstrasse. With prolific tutors who are successful artists, producers and other players from the music business as well as many live venues and music businesses in the immediate vicinity, BIMM offers students practice-oriented quality degree programmes and an excellent network for starting their music careers.
All courses are taught in English, and full-time BA (Hons) programmes are validated by the University of Sussex and are available in the subject areas of guitar, drums, bass, songwriting, vocals, music business, and music production.
The BIMM Institute Hamburg is supported by leading musical instrument manufacturers, which means that students have direct access to state-of-the-art facilities as well as professional equipment and software. This includes e.g. Mac labs with Ableton equipment, music production rooms at Clouds Hill Recordings and rehearsal rooms with a full backline.
