Airbus plant tour
A tour of the Airbus factory in Hamburg provides an impressive view of the assembly processes of the aircraft manufactured here.
The Airbus factory is located in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. The tour takes around two and half hours and gives visitors interested in flight technology a great deal of insider knowledge on production, development, origin of the installed components as well as costs involved. This is where various types of aircraft are built, which - in terms of size - range from the small A318 all the way to the A380. You can see the systems and final assembly of the A320 family as well as the structural assembly and interior fitting hangar of the A380.
Observe aircraft production Visitors are transferred by shuttlebus from the main entrance or Globetrotter Travel Agency at the east gate of the Airbus plant into its heart. First, visitors learn about the company’s history and are also shown a film in the visitor pavilion. Subsequently, the individual production steps can be seen in the plant halls, where employees are working on technical details of the machines. The inner workings of the aircraft, otherwise hidden behind the skin, are on display here. A tour of the Airbus client in Hamburg is interesting for all aviation and technology fans.
