The Feenteich Bridge in Hamburg is an impressive brick arch with a span of eight metres. Built in 1884, the bridge marks the transition from the Feenteich to the Außenalster.

The Hamburger Kunsthalle is one of the most important and largest art museums in Germany. Its first-class collection takes visitors through 8 centuries. In 2019, it celebrated a round birthday: 150 years ago, the Kunsthalle was opened to the public.

The Alsterhaus is certainly Hamburg’s most well-known department store along the Alster. Luxury goods of all types can be found on five floors.

These majestic waterfowl adorn the Binnen- and Außenalster as living symbols of the city.

It is the heart of the city centre for many locals and tourists: the Jungfernstieg - a diverse connection between the Inner Alster and the surrounding shops and attractions.

The Kennedy and Lombard bridge is a picturesque bridge that leads visitors over the Alster and marks the old course of the city used to separate the Outer Alster from the Inner Alster.

The pier is located on the western bank of the Outer Alster. This also marks the beginning of the Rotherbaum district and the transition from the Alster foreland to the Alster shore.

The large Alsterpark located on the northwest shore of the Außenalster is popular with all Hamburg residents - between swans, geese, sailboats and nature, is easy to relax and wind down.
