St. Pauli Queertour 100 years of pride on St. Pauli
St. Pauli, the unconventional suburb of Hamburg has always been a place for queer life.
On our district tour we report both on persecution and discrimination on the one hand and on Pride and party in St. Pauli. Queer people were and are active in sex work, as travesty artists and in gastronomy. We tell about personalities of the LGBTQI+ community, like Anita Berber, Pauline Courage and Corny Littmann and what they were able to move here. And we show the places of queer nightlife culture from the past 100 years until today. Including a pub stop at the oldest gay bar in Hamburg.
