Christmas market Niendorf

Nordic Christmas market atmosphere at the Tibarg

It's getting festive in Niendorf again! The pedestrian area from Tibarg centre to Tibarg south is once again transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland.

The many small wooden huts, mostly in Swedish red, the warmly glowing tipi tents, Christmas decorations, small lights and tempting offers such as mulled wine, chocolate, handmade accessories and much more immediately put every visitor in a hygge Christmas mood. Rustic wooden huts and large tipi tents are lined up around the magnificent Christmas tree, which shines with numerous lights. The “Tibarg Center Tipi Lounge” in these tents is the meeting place for convivial evenings in large groups. Fresh wood chips on the floor keep your feet warm and dry.

In the small wooden huts in the pedestrian zone, handicrafts and other unique items are offered by various vendors.

In the Tibarg Center there is a Santa Claus consultation hour for children on Advent Saturdays from 12 noon to 5 pm.

For children who want to make presents for their families, there is a large craft hut with expert guidance. They can also help in the cookie bakery at the weekend. The little ones are looked after free of charge on weekdays and weekends so that parents can stroll around the Christmas market or browse for presents in peace and quiet.

The Christmas season in Niendorf is traditionally kicked off with carol singing. On 6.12. at 6 p.m. behind the church at Niendorf market, it gets musical and really festive. Find out more here.

CITY AREA PORTRAIT Eimsbüttel & Eppendorf

Here, one can find magnificent old building façades, local and exquisite restaurants as well as fancy boutiques and owner-operated shops. While Eppendorf is rather fancy, one can feel the hanseatic serenity in Eimsbüttel. Both districts offer much green and water and are hence with good reason very popular neighbourhoods in Hamburg.
