At night all cats are Grey? Who said Hamburg lights and we catch it one with our cameras! In our photo trip through HafenCity and Speicherstadt we show you how to shoot surprisingly good night shots with a few simple tricks.

Step by step you get to know the various possibilities for picture composition. Experiment with perspectives and focal lengths, practicing the use of sharpness, blur, and motion blur and discover how to achieve with torches, sparklers or random passing cars great effects.

Fototörn Hamburg

Photo barge trip in the port of Hamburg for all photo enthusiasts - regardless of whether they have a cell phone or a professional camera!

We have rented a purely photo launch and are going on a photo trip. The barge stays with you where there are the best motifs and the best light. Before the trip, there is a half-hour briefing on photography in the harbor area with valuable tips for better photos.

Scope of services:
Approx. 30 min introduction to port and travel photography
2 hour photo trip with the "GERDA 2.0, LÜTTE DEERN or HANSEAT" or similar exclusively for the photo group (no other guests on board)
throughout the harbor area, depending on the tide
including photo trainer support

Attention: Please be sure to wear warm, weather-appropriate clothing during the fall and winter photography trips. It can get very cold both on the launch and on land!

Führung: Gans herbstlich - Graugänse im Eichenpark

Nach der Brutzeit bzw. der Mauser verlässt der Großteil der Graugänse die Stadt ab Mitte Juni. Den Sommer verbringen viele der Hamburger Gänse an verschiedenen Rastplätzen entlang der Elbe, oder an Nord- und Ostsee, was wir durch unsere Beringungen in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Vogelforschung "Vogelwarte Helgoland" herausfinden können. 
Jetzt im Herbst kann man aber wieder vermehrt Graugänse in einigen Parks beobachten. In diesem Jahr mehr als in den Jahren zuvor. Woran liegt das? Welche Gänse sind jetzt hier? Fliegen sie nochmal weiter? Wie erkennt man die Familien aus dem Frühling? Wie kann man jetzt noch Jungvögel von ihren Eltern unterscheiden?

Hafenrundfahrt in Hamburg - Ticket 12.50 EUR

During this compact harbor cruise , the Port of Hamburg will be shown to you from its most beautiful side: Depending on the tide (high and low tide), the one-hour harbor cruise begins with a drive through the picturesque canals of the Speicherstadt . Then it's along the HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie for a trip to the Elbe and the former Freeport with its world-famous attractions. These include historic docks and modern terminals for container handling , where you can get up close and personal with over 400-meter-long ships - the giants of the oceans.

You see cruise centers , the St. Paui Landungsbrücken , the shipyard Blohm & Voss . In Hansahafen, where the harbor museum is located, you will learn how harbor work used to work. You see the historic 50s shed , beautiful old cranes , also facilities of the port railway as well as several small and larger museum ships .

It is a Great Harbor Tour , where you can hear and see how the harbor develops, also some sailor yarn , as the humor at our rides will not be neglected. At the same time, our classic contains a wealth of interesting information, which you can enjoy especially well with a cold drink.

The How To Hamburg Insider City Tour takes us through two and a half hours through two urban areas that couldn't be more different. Nevertheless, they have more in common than you think: trendy Hamburg in the Schanzenviertel and St. Pauli and chic Hamburg in Eppendorf, Harvestehude and Winterhude on the Alster. We dive into the city and discover exciting contrasts between gray urbanity and green idyll.

The How To Hamburg classic city tour, which is not all that classic, takes us from the harbor to Jungfernstieg in just over two and a half hours. On our way we explore the most exciting sights of the city.
Not only do we learn something about the city's eventful history, but we also see with our own eyes how radiant Hamburg has emerged from it.
