Word art on Hamburg's stages.

Experience culture. Poetry Slam in Hamburg

Hamburg stands for art and culture through and through. And over the years, poetry slams have gained a firm place in Hamburg's cultural programme. Those who want to see young lyrical talents have the opportunity to do so in Hamburg almost every week. The young poet scene meets here regularly on stage to compete and inspire the audience. And with the "artistic duels", the city even has its own unofficial championship. Here, you'll find an overview of current events and the most frequent venues.

Zwei Dreissiger – Live-Podcast

Melisa Dobric and Florian Dobric-Gerl describe their podcast »Zwei Dreissiger« as follows: »The podcast in which we, as a married couple, try to treat ourselves and others. A mix of couples therapy, things you could actually care less about and pocket-psychological wisdom. All packed with wit and humour.«

Please note: this event takes place in German.

Zwei Dreissiger – Live-Podcast

»Beste Freundinnen«

Hard, harder, »Zu Hart für den Podcast« – It’s finally time again: the »Besten Freundinnen« are going on tour. Two hard men are in search of their soft core and behave like an axe in the forest. No blinkers and no filters. What is usually cut from the podcast is just tough enough for the tour.

»Beste Freundinnen« has been an integral part of the German podcast world for almost a decade now. What began with shameless conversations in the changing room between two close friends has constantly evolved and refined. Today, the former men’s chat is enriched with psychological depth. Max and Jakob have over 1 million listeners a month and celebrate their humour just as much as their reflective advice on the topics of relationships, love, sex and friendship plus. Book authors, songwriters and game developers – there’s hardly a field that the best friends haven’t left their mark on. Charmingly funny and consistently self-deprecating, they have philosophised their way into the hearts of their listeners. In countless replies to listener emails, they have helped them through the odd relationship crisis. But there’s no room for fabric softener and soap bubbles on this tour: it’s back to basics – 10% harder and 100% more shame. This time, the audience can’t hide behind their headphones.

It’s well known that only the tough get into the garden, but the toughest come to the »Zu Hart für den Podcast« -Tour. The listeners are there live when Max and Jakob get emotionally
completely naked. After a decade in the podcast game, nothing embarrasses them anymore: vocal interludes and uncomfortably direct questions to the audience – if your face is burning red with shame, you know where the best friends feel at home.
