Flying to see Santa Claus and handing him your wish list in person is a very special experience, and not just for the little ones. Bright children's eyes and excited families are guaranteed at the Alstertal shopping center during Advent, as a winter gondola takes you on a virtual trip to the North Pole.

In the middle of a magical winter landscape of glittering fir trees and powdered-sugar-fine snowflakes, the special travel vehicle is located in the AEZ, as the people of Hamburg affectionately call the shopping center in Poppenbüttel. Elves open the door and then, accompanied by Christmas music, you go on a virtual journey high up through the Alstertal shopping center and snowy landscapes to the hut at the North Pole, where Santa Claus is happily awaiting his young and old visitors. Together with Santa, you pin your wish list, previously prepared in the winter writing workshop, to the magical wall. There is a sweet gift and, of course, photos and selfies as a souvenir. A fairytale moment that makes the hearts of all visitors beat faster. And a perfect opportunity to combine Christmas shopping with an extra portion of magical flair.

The magical gondola rides in the AEZ Winter Wonderland on the area in front of Douglas are free for all ages and take place from December 2nd to 23rd every day from Monday to Saturday between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Last minute rides are even possible on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
