Fish rolls are Hamburg’s favorite snack, and no tourist leaves the Hanseatic city without indulging in this northern German delicacy. And rightly so!
Spielbudenplatz is joining the celebrations for World Fish Roll Day to honor this maritime delight. After all, Hamburg proudly holds the unofficial title of “World Fish Roll Capital!”
On May 3rd, the best regional vendors of this Nordic treat will gather in the heart of the Reeperbahn to showcase their craft.
By the way, the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast has been celebrating World Fish Roll Day every May since 2011, and since 2019, we’ve been marking the occasion at Spielbudenplatz, honoring this gourmet roll on its special day.
