Wenn der Rothirsch röhrt - Führung zur Hirschbrunft
- Excursions & Hikes
Autumn is gradually approaching. The first cool nights not only announce the end of summer, but also mark the beginning of a special time for the largest wild animal species in the Lüneburg Heath: the red deer rut is beginning.
In the vast forest areas of the southern heath, red deer can still be found in large numbers in some places. Over the course of the year, you hardly notice the large animals, but now it's their big moment: their loud roaring to fend off competitors and keep the pack members together can be heard from far away. And so this evening tour in the southern heath nature park is all about the "king of the forests".
A red deer guided tour with forest educator Clwyd Owen.
