Small and nice, the Christmas market at Bodenteich Castle

Saturday, December 7th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Christmas Bazaar)

Sunday, December 8th from 12 noon to 6 p.m. (Family Christmas Market)

The second Advent weekend in December is definitely marked in red on the calendar for anyone who wants to experience a particularly atmospheric pre-Christmas season. Then the time has come again: The Christmas market opens its doors at Bad Bodenteich Castle.

The castle grounds will shine in a cozy glow and convey a festive atmosphere. The market starts again this year with a "Christmas Bazaar" on Saturday, December 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the knight's hall and the brewery. Around 6:00 p.m., Advent sounds of trumpets will be heard from the top window of the brewery for visitors.

The bazaar will then be open on Sunday. December 08 continued as part of the "Family Christmas Market" from 12 noon to 6 pm. An interesting selection of unusual and special gift ideas awaits visitors this year too. A total of around 30 stands, including woodturning, wooden toys, Tiffany lamps, handmade wood and silver art, felt bags, gemstone jewelry and healing stones, as well as pyrography and beekeeping products. The members of the model railway club Bad Bodenteich present a small playground for children in the brewery.

Of course, the physical well-being is well taken care of on both days. In addition to freshly grilled meat from the Brink country slaughterhouse, there will also be freshly smoked trout varieties this year and the tempting scent of roasted almonds and fresh waffles will be in the air. The school company of the secondary school and the Kneipp KiTa Bad Bodenteich are also represented with a sales stand on the castle courtyard.

On Sunday, the kids of the Kneipp daycare center Bad Bodenteich and the elementary school at the Seewiesen will hand over their musical business card. The children's fire brigade is back with a fire basket and stick bread and Baucks Biogut presents a small petting zoo. In the castle's reading room, the Bodenteich youth center is again taking care of a “Christmas room” for young and old gnomes. among other things, handicrafts and "dice advent calendar".

The bakery of the castle invites you to the Christmas bakery again and when the fire baskets are lit, Santa Claus will appear in the castle courtyard and make the children's eyes shine.

Christmas raffle with many great prizes:

The popular Christmas raffle starts again in mid-November. The coveted lots can then be bought in all participating shops. The prizes are awarded directly at the Christmas market.
