WATERLOO - THE ABBA SHOW
A Tribute to ABBA with ABALANCE
"People need love" - the first joint title of Agnetha, Frida, Björn and Benny - that was 1972. 30 years later, in spring 2002, the four sympathetic Swedes had long ago laid down a picture book- As one of the most active ABBA revival bands in Germany, with regard to a production on the musical work of ABBA.
"WATERLOO-the ABBA story" was produced and continues to perform successfully under different names: eg "Thank you for the music" or "ABALANCE -a night with ABBA" ... But how was ABALANCE going?
The solidly trained singers have already been able to make their first musical experiences in the 80s before the dancing crowd. However, not yet common, but all in successful formations.
1993 Ines and Jürgen Mossbauer came up with the idea of founding an ABBA revival band, and 1994, exactly 20 years after the grandiose success of the Swedish success quartet in the English seaside resort Brighton, but also at a time when it seemed to be ABBA Was somewhat quieter, took place the first appearance, still under the name ABBA2000 (for copyright reasons had to be renamed), at an event fair, instead.
At this time, a revival show fixed on a star or a group, including an identical outfit, was absolutely new entertainment. Today revivals and doubles from the showbranche are hard to imagine. Ines Mossbauer (Agnetha), Katrin Feickert (Frida), Wolfgang Strasburg (Björn), and Jürgen Mossbauer (Benny) were aware of the fact that ABBA would never be seen together on a musical stage Was not over. Therefore it was very important to the musicians and singers of ABALANCE from the outset to convey the flair of this time and above all the flair of ABBA.
Many enthusiastic fans still regret today that they never had the chance on the one hand, or on the other hand they never used Abba once to have lived live. Fanclubs around the world are constantly gathering information about the other life lines of the four sympathetic Swedes. Abba is one of the musical legends that can be counted on one hand. And the bill went on ... The interest in the Swedish pop, especially ABBA, was unbroken. With the production of WATERLOO-the ABBA story in 2002, ABALANCE experienced a completely new experience with the audience. Now an ABBA show was no longer the showact of an event, but an evening-filling show. ABALANCE toured from the North Sea to Lake Constance, from Munich via Dresden to the Baltic Sea. The highlight of this time would be perhaps full-length shows in Europe's largest revue theater, the Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin. As of 2009, regular international operations were carried out in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, etc.
