Warner E. Hodges Band
- Rock
Club am Donnerstag eV presents
Warner E. Hodges
has been a member of Dan Baird's Homemade Sin for many years and is a real guitar dervish. He came from Jason & the Scorchers and when they still perform from time to time he plays with them too. He also has a solo career.
Warner was born in Würzburg, where his parents served in the army. Both parents played music and after the family returned to Nashville in the States, Warner suddenly found himself playing drums in his parents' band. When he saw AC/DC in concert in 1973, he really wanted to play guitar. Since the punk wave had reached the States at that time, he initially saw his calling in this direction.
He later met country punker Jason Ringenberg and became a member of the Scorchers. In 2009 he switched to Dan Baird. In 2011, Warner founded the band The Bluefields with Dan Baird, who have since released three albums.
The "very busy man" also has a solo career, which has now resulted in the new album. It is already his third solo album, but by far his best.
Also included are some of his companions such as Dan Baird, Joe Blanton from the Bluesfields, Elizabeth Cook and Jerry Dale McFadden, the eccentric keyboardist of the Mavericks.
And the album sounds just like it should when these calibers meet in the studio. The strings and keys are pounded in the best Southern Rock tradition, and it's a real joy.
No liability is assumed for the correctness of the data.
