From Mühlengut to Bauerncafé
A journey through time over the oldest courtyard in Müdens
The landlord personally takes you on a journey through time to his ancestors. First mentioned in 1420, the farm is still family owned. The water and sawmill was one of them.
The aim of this tour is to get a feel for the life of the "miller gentleman" and his family. Let Karsten Springhorn show architectural details on the buildings, which reflect the charm of the time. On the tour you will learn interesting facts about the old residential building, a four-post building from 1809, the "ole" Schün, the blacksmiths, the farmers garden and the impressive lobby of the main building.
With much love and sometimes considerable effort, this farm is preserved and is an example of the farmsteads in our region. Afterwards, take a seat in the Bauerncafé and round off the tour over coffee and a piece of cake, home-made by the North German cake master Ria Springhorn.
