Vollmondwanderung auf dem Heidschnuckenweg in der Oberoher Heide
- Excursions & Hikes
Through heath and diatomaceous earth area into the moonlight
Whether there are numerous spider webs hanging in the heather bushes in Indian summer or a warm summer evening lets insects dance over the ponds, the Oberoher Heide is definitely worth a visit.
The route leads past the remains of diatomaceous earth mining on the Heidschnuckenweg into the open heath landscape, while the sun sets and the moon rises.
Katrin Blumenbach, certified forest educator, tells you about diatomaceous earth and the man who made this mineral treasure famous with a groundbreaking invention. You will also hear something about the creation of the heath landscape, which can be wonderfully understood in this area. The use of the heathland by our ancestors is just as important as natural phenomena along the way. Boulders, juniper bushes and animal tracks are not ignored.
When it gets dark, you have the feeling of having entered the mystical realm of fairies and trolls. Let the atmosphere take effect and enjoy a little surprise in a beautiful spot in this area.
