Voices - from Gregorian chant to Gershwin
Music by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Wagner, Lehár, Gershwin and many others

The human voice is one of humanity's oldest and most versatile instruments. It has the ability to express emotions, tell stories, and connect communities. Therefore, it's no surprise that the voice has been named this year's Instrument of the Year. And what could be more fitting than celebrating it in all its facets for an entire evening?

This evening we pay homage to singing in a wide range of arias, duets and choral works from the St. Matthew Passion, from operas by Georg Friedrich Händel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, the "Evening Blessing" from Hansel and Gretel, the Vilja song from "The Merry Widow" by Franz Lehár, to "Summertime" from "Porgy and Bess" by George Gershwin and other highlights from the last centuries, eras and musical styles.

The singers will be accompanied by a string quintet and two pianists, and the evening will be hosted by Mike Steurenthaler. And for your culinary enjoyment, we'll have a selection of drinks and finger food available during the two intermissions. The concert ends at approximately 10 p.m.
