Twinkle Concert L / Chez Maurice
- Other
The music of the French composer Maurice Ravel is full of fantasy and colours. The musical theatre »Chez Maurice« takes the audience along into the home where Ravel grew up as a child. From his father, an engineer and inventor, a lot of machinery and equipment stand about there. They make weird noises, cast magical shadows and stimulate the imagination of the young Ravel. Step by step, Belgian chamber music ensemble Revue Blanche reveals his creative world. And of course several of Ravel’s original compositions ring out at the same time.
»Twinkle Concerts« is the series of children’s concerts at the Elbphilharmonie that brings the most successful productions from all over Europe to Hamburg. At times funny and playful, at others thoughtful and reflective, the series introduces children to the world of music in a special and unique way.
