About 40 historical actors live and work in the museum buildings and portray everyday life in 1900 in a village in Mecklenburg.

On July 22 and 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., join members and friends of the "Zeitreise Mueß" community of performers on a journey back in time to the imperial era at the end of the 19th/beginning of the 20th century.

The community of actors "Zeitreise Mueß" are friends of the open-air museum. They come from Mueß, Schwerin and the surrounding area, but also from far away. For two days in summer they move into the farmhouses of the open-air museum Schwerin-Mueß. Everything is original from that time: buildings, everyday objects, tools, clothes, recipes, stories. This is exactly how our ancestors lived in the village: in simple circumstances, combined with sweaty work and in mutual, useful, family and social community.

Some of the performers have been dealing with everyday life in the period around 1900 for many years, so they know a lot about it. Gain new vivid insights into everyday life in a village in Mecklenburg 100 years ago in conversations with the performers! Feel the life of that time on this journey through time directly and with all your senses!

Many buildings and terrain areas are played: Büdnerei, shepherd's croft, farmhouse, blacksmith's store, village school, courtyard, meadows, even rooms that are closed during normal museum operation, e.g. the cottage across from the museum grounds, the tavern with parlor and the grocery store in the farmhouse of Hufe 5.
