Synths & Stories: Crafting Narratives in Electronic Music

Electro and techno artist Nadia Struiwigh delves into musical storytelling on the evening before her Elbphilharmonie concert. Her workshop is about song structures and sound design: how do you arrange a story and atmospheric soundscapes using musical equipment? And how do you devise thrilling arcs of suspense with synthesisers?

Anyone with some experience in producing electronic music is welcome in this workshop. For the registration, an own track is requiered and you may bring along more self-produced tracks to the workshop. Anyone wishing to try out ideas on the spot can also bring along their own laptop. Following the workshop, Nadia Struiwigh invites you to take part in a discussion session.
