Pop and rock music for children that parents also really enjoy - that is nothing less than what singer and songwriter Sven van Thom has set himself as his goal. Since his first children's song "Mein neuer Bruder" appeared on the popular sampler CD series "Unter meinen Bett" in 2017, he released his award-winning album "Tanz den Spatz" a year later. The album "Spuckepack" followed in 2021 and in 2023 the German Children's Song Prize for his latest song "Du guckst ja gar nicht".

At a Sven van Thom concert, the audience can expect a wild mix of indie rock (“Dein Papa kann nicht kochen”), battle rap (“Mein Pups”), electro funk (“Angeberwasser”) and, above all, lots of funny lyrics, which sometimes defiantly demand: “Not to the Baltic Sea again!” And at the end, of course, everyone dances the “Spatz”. Sven not only brings guitars, ukulele, loop machine and, as a special eye-catcher, the mysterious instrument Theremin, which is played via two antennas without touching it. His stage accomplice Dominik Merscheid provides even more musical variety on bass, drums, vocals and Omnichord. The two of them conjure up a wonderfully energetic concert, with songs that are guaranteed to put a big grin on everyone’s face.
