Suzanna singt Alexandra

Suzanna sings the songs of Alexandra
In the 1960s, the singer Alexandra was considered a "high-flyer" in German show business. With hits such as "Mein Freund, der Baum" and "Sehnsucht" she sang her way into the hearts of her numerous fans - far beyond Germany. After a short time she was already working with well-known stars such as Adamo, Gilbert Bécaud, Yves Montand, Carlos Jobim and Udo Jürgens.
In addition to her striking appearance, Alexandra's deep, clear and always somewhat yearning voice caused a sensation at the time. However, her meteoric career was short-lived: in 1969, she had a car accident - only 27 years old. But she and her heartfelt songs have not been forgotten to this day.
The Berlin singer Suzanna, like Alexandra blessed with Russian roots and a warm and dark alto voice, now brings the melodies of the unforgettable singer back to the stage and to the Kulturkirche Altona in her program “Illusions”.
In addition to well-known evergreens such as “My Friend, the Tree”, “Longing” or “Zigeunerjunge”, this evening we will also get to know lesser-known songs by Alexandra such as “Schwarze Balalaika”, “Moscow Nights”, “Evening of the Roses” or “Im sechsten Stock”.
