Shortly before the departure parade, visitors can watch a demonstration of a sailing maneuver on a traditional windjammer, the "Dar Mlodziezy," as the cadets of this sailing training ship, under the guidance of the boatswain, climb the mainmast to the second or third yard to set a square sail. If weather conditions do not permit this, the setting of the staysails on the bowsprit will be demonstrated. This impressive sailing maneuver offers an interesting display even for those who are still inexperienced sailors and may not be familiar with some of these terms. From the piers, you have a first-class view of this unique, exciting spectacle, one that will surely be hard to take your eyes off! Tip: Be sure to bring your camera!
