Two men who can't be pigeonholed on one stage: Miki Kekenj, violinist, composer and singer, invites his chamber music Takeover! ensemble invites German rap pioneer and music producer Samy Deluxe on stage. Together, the exceptional artists present a rousing programme and break down the boundaries between rap and classical music. Where beats and bass usually set the tone, cello and harpsichord take over – bringing two apparent opposites together in the greatest harmony.

MIKI's Takeover! Ensemble translates modern songs into a classical musical language and has already created fine, imaginative arrangements for the music of Joy Denalane, Max Herre and Stefanie Heinzmann. Now it will be interesting to see how the songs of rapper Samy Deluxe sound in a way never heard before in the classic Takeover arrangements. Classical music language combined with hip-hop is a feast on stage, a major win for both sides.
