Following the death of her husband and Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, she wants to continue his work: From exile, Yulia Navalny continues to fight tirelessly for democracy and the rule of law in her native Russia. This year, she is the patron of the Days of Exile in Hamburg and will give a speech on exile to mark the occasion. The evening will be rounded off with music by violinist Gidon Kremer and the chamber orchestra Kremerata Lettonica. Muschda Sherzada (NDR Kultur) will moderate.

The event will be held in English.

The Days of Exile are an audience-oriented programme of events and encounters in Hamburg and other German cities, initiated by the Körber Foundation. From 5 February to 7 March 2025, they will take place in Hamburg for the sixth time with a total of 50 events at 42 locations. Exhibitions, concerts, readings and other formats will be dedicated to the topics of flight and exile in the past and present. The programme gives people in exile a platform and encourages dialogue and understanding between old and new citizens in order to contribute to better cohesion in the city.

Further information on the programme can be found at www.tagedesexils.de.
