Welcome to the "Villa Villekulla"! Who lives here? Of course, the strongest and most famous girl in the whole world. Meet Pippilotta Viktualia Rollgardina Peppermint Efraim's Daughter Longstocking". Better known as: Pippi Longstocking!
The well-behaved siblings Tommy (Henriette Bauer) and Annika Settergren (Lotta Bieniek) live a quiet and calm life in a small town. They go to school, do their homework and accompany their mother (Dagmar Schnakenberg) to coffee parties every now and then.
The peace and boredom soon come to an end when Pippi Longstocking (Hanne Klemp), the girl with red pigtails and freckles, moves into the "Villa Villekulla" next door without any parents but with her monkey "Mr. Nilsson" (Michel Bieniek) and her horse "Little Uncle". Pippi throws her new friends into pure chaos with her nonconformist way of life - and turns the sensible world of her fellow human beings upside down!
The attempt of the nice teacher (Christine Säger) to teach Pippi to read, write and count fails miserably. And the efforts of Mrs. Prysselius (Susanne Iden) to place Pippi in a children's home are also unsuccessful.
And where did Pippi actually get all those gold pieces from? Did she steal them? That's what the police officers Klang (Sabine Hagelstein) and Larsson (Andreas Beu) are trying to find out. And why are the two thieves Donner-Karlsson (Anton Kottwitz) and Blom (Jule Reher) sneaking around Villa Villekulla at night?
Pippi is super strong, wonderfully naughty and lies wonderfully. Full of zest for life, she always does what she feels like doing. She can't adapt. But what does that matter? She doesn't want to be a fine lady anyway. She'd rather be a tough pirate's daughter who sails the seas with the Hoppetosse!
