The Panoptikum in Hamburg St. Pauli was founded in 1879, making it the oldest
Wax museum in Germany. The Faerber family has carried on this tradition for five generations - with dedication, care and great attention to detail. Because: Similarity to the original is no coincidence. But true art.
Visitors experience this very special art on over 700 m² of exhibition space. The Panoptikum is a fascinating world of wax, in which reality and fantasy merge with each other. Currently more than 120 personalities from art and culture, sport and politics, society and history are shown - including many celebrities and real megastars. The best thing: The stars and starlets are not photo-shy at all and wait patiently for photos from the private paparazzi. Photography is in the exhibition expressly permitted, after all, selfies with the wax figures belong to everyones visit of the Panoptikum!
In addition to current personalities such as singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, singer Helene Fischer, US President Donald Trump and Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, local celebrities such as Olivia Jones will also be present. Additionally, historical figures such as Henry VIII, Albert Einstein and Friedrich von Schiller are shown. A horror scene and a medical-anatomical cabinet complete the collection.
