The concert "MESTIZAJE" is based on the duo's new album, which will be released in May 2025. The concert includes the album's repertoire. The duo strives for an elegant and precise performance, reflecting their deep cultural roots and their vast experience in the folkloric and academic fields of Venezuelan music.
Eddy Marcano is one of Venezuela's greatest violinists and conductors, and is acknowledged as one of the leading exponents of the violin on the continent as well as an outstanding conductor. He was first violin of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, he has performed with important orchestras and has participated in national and international festivals throughout Latin America, as well as in Germany, Spain, the United States, London and Italy.
He has conducted leading Venezuelan orchestras and has given masterclasses in several countries, including Colombia, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, Guatemala, the United States, and Egypt.
He is currently the music director of the Texas Symphony Ballet in Houston. He is a violinist with the Houston Latin American Philharmonic Orchestra, the Echoo Symphony Orchestra -The Energy Corridor- in Houston, Texas, and director of the Texas Hispanic Chamber Orchestra.
Manuel Trejo Barrios is a young classical guitarist with a multicultural background. He began his studies at the Simón Bolívar National Orchestras System, EL Sistema, in Caracas, then continued at the Cecilio Acosta Catholic University (UNICA) in Maracaibo, where he studied chamber music and conducted the university's guitar orchestra, specializing in Venezuelan folklore. In Italy, he continued his academic studies at the Conservatory of Music in Rovigo, concluding with top marks and honours. He has also participated in various festivals and musical productions, such as the Federico Cesi Festival, Latin American Cultural Week in New York, and the Paolo Ambroso Competition, where he has received several awards.
