The Hobenköök Market Hall: It's Saturday morning, 10 a.m.

The Hobenköök has just opened its doors, and you are already standing in the large market hall and get an exclusive insight into the colorful hustle and bustle of the Hobenköök. There are over 1,500 high-quality products from over 200 producers. Most of them come from the region and the north. At Hamburg's most regional cooking course, you can shop, cook and ask all your questions with a small group of culinary enthusiasts together with our chefs. Enjoy a coffee or tea and then we'll set off on an enjoyable tour of discovery...

Together with one of our chefs, you will get to know the products and producers in detail and get one or two delicious insider tips. Equipped with shopping baskets, you walk through the market hall together and buy the ingredients that you will later use to prepare tasty dishes. Depending on what the season has to offer, a dish, e.g. E.g. the North German classic “Hamburger Pannfisch, with grainy mustard sauce and mashed potatoes”.
One thing is certain: it will be really tasty and diverse!

But before the aprons are thrown over and the wooden spoons are swung, you go on a discovery tour through Hamburg's Speicherstadt with the “City Slickers”. Your guide will take you to places off the beaten track and show you surprising sides of the historic district.

After so much entertaining and exciting information, your stomach is rumbling and you could use something good to eat? Perfect!

Your guide will accompany you to the Hobenköök cooking school, where your cook will be waiting for you with your purchases from the morning. And then our cooking class begins. Together you will process the market-fresh ingredients and you will be professionally supported: technical tricks, knowledge of the goods and tips for preparation included.

And then we eat! You deserve it. We wish you bon appetite and hope you had as much fun as we did!

The tour ends at 3 p.m., all drinks are included during the cooking class (water, soft drinks, beer, wine & coffee).
