Lebenslauf
- Stage Art & Theatre
Every child knows it, right? Not everyone grows up with the same opportunities and starting conditions. Access to education, health, culture, fun and money is not equally distributed in our society. This is evident in pocket money and clothing, in apartments, in summer holidays, at school, in career choices - everywhere. Why is that so?
The play LEBENSLAUF explores together with the audience what needs to change so that everyone can choose their path in life more freely - regardless of their origins. Verena Brakonier invites you to join in: She is a dancer and theater maker and grew up in her parents' car repair shop. With her art she campaigns against classism: Classism means when people are treated worse because, for example, they have less money or fewer educational opportunities, because they are poorly paid, are unemployed or live without a home - or because they do not know any unwritten rules, for example in the theater or at a university. The play LEBENSLAUF is a mixture of dance, theater and videos with our own and invented stories. Together we develop ideas on how we can make our environment and the world fairer. What would happen if everyone had the same opportunities? And how do we get there?
