KulturKost: catfish row plays Gershwin

Tip: As part of the KulturKost, in addition to the musical highlight, there is also coffee and cake in the castle.
The Berlin trio can skilfully reduce lush orchestral arrangements and rich piano chords to one voice and two woodwinds. In this minimalist trio formation, Gershwin's music sounds transparent, reduced to the essentials and yet in all its sensuality.
At the heart of "catfish row" is the charismatic and versatile voice of jazz singer Anett Levander, who is accompanied by Christian Raake on saxophone/flute and Dirk Steglich on bass clarinet. It sounds like a large orchestra, rich piano chords, richly instrumented jazz melodies that have long since become standards. How can two or three reproduce all of this? The answer lies in the sophisticated arrangements of "catfish row". But we don't want to give too much away here: just listen for yourself!
