JISKA's music is a gateway to a brightly colored, tipsy, messy, relaxed world. Old-school soul dynamics meet youthful indie-pop attitude. The exceptional Stuttgart singer and bassist strikes a highly international chord—and not just because of her English-language lyrics—with a lightness and vigilance reminiscent of the releases of a young Lilly Allen. JISKA's raspy, warm voice always seems only centimeters away from her listeners' ears, always in the foreground without ever intruding.

JISKA, born Jana Franziska Binder, was born in 1999 in the greater Stuttgart area and was surrounded by music from her earliest days. Her grandfather ran a music school, her mother and uncle were professional musicians, and blues and soul records were constantly spinning in her living room. JISKA played the violin from an early age, saw the backstage scene from the inside before entering a school building, and became a bassist in a youth band at the age of eleven. Long before graduating from high school, she wrote her own English-language lyrics. In spring 2020, shortly before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, JISKA ventured into the public eye with her first solo release. Even though she was initially denied live performances, her subsequent releases had a wide impact on the music and media landscape.

After completing her training as a speech therapist, JISKA spent two months in Valencia, Spain, where she created her debut EP "Wild Blue Yonder," which was released in July 2022 and included her first hit, "Girl Next Door," which garnered seven-figure streams. JISKA then toured Germany with Betterov and Rhodes. She received radio airplay, was nominated for the 2022 New Music Award by Deutschlandfunk Nova, and played on ZDF's morning magazine program. Gigs at renowned events such as the Jazz Open Stuttgart and the Sziget Festival Budapest were followed by the single "You Will Be Okay," the precursor to her third EP. Following the release in spring 2025, JISKA packed her bags and embarked on her first headline tour in April and May 2025!
